Before using the lantern, place it upright out in the sun for 30hrs for its 1st charge. Subsequently, the lantern should be charged for 9 -10hrs for optimum performance. Ensure that direct sunlight falls on the solar cell, which is mounted on the top of the lantern.
It must be ensured that the top glass on the solar panel is kept clean at all times to receive unobstructed light. Dust must be cleaned by blowing it off or wiping it with a soft cotton cloth.
Incase of poor sunlight, the lantern can also be charged with the electrical charger provided. The lantern should only be electrically charged for 2-3hrs, or else it can damage the battery.
Once the sun sets take the lantern back home. Hang the lantern on the wall or ceiling, or simply place it on the table or floor, wherever the light is desired.
