No mercury is used in manufacturing of LEDs, opposed to CFLs. Mercury is a toxic metal associated with contamination of water, fish & food supplies, and can lead to adverse health effects. They are hazardous & contain EMF emitting units at the base of the bulb. CFLs contain a certain amount of mercury, a potent neurotoxin, which produce high levels of radio frequency radiation, called Dirty Electricity,
which adversely affects health, causing muscle & joint pain, headaches, nausea, sleep disorders, respiratory problems, rashes alongwith anxiety & depression and is also linked to leukemia, melanoma, & indifferent behaviour.
